I am a student filmmaker. For my camera, I have a choice between Sony's PD-150 or an ancient bolex. I was wondering if it would be at all possible to use the PD-150 to record sync sound for my 16mm (which I would get converted to video and edit on NLE), or if I should just screw it and go digital all the way.

    Cool

Go digital all the way, less competition for me.

You cant record sync sound on a DV camera. You need something that is crystal sync. Meaning it records at 24 FPS.
